Ashbourne will welcome its very first dedicated community wellness event, WellFest Ashbourne, taking place on Sunday, 9th August, along High Street from 12pm to 6pm. This free, community-focused event aims to promote mental health awareness, encourage meaningful connection, and create a space for open, supportive conversation.

The event is proudly organised by a dedicated group of local volunteers and businesses, led by The Pantry Ashbourne and FLY Counselling & Psychotherapy Centre, in partnership with community organisations ASAP and HUH, local council representatives, and High Street Ashbourne.

Designed to bring people together, WellFest Ashbourne promises a day filled with inspiration, information, and entertainment. The main stage will feature an exciting line-up of guest speakers, including Dr. Brian Pennie, alongside live music from popular bands Smash Hits and Waterloo.

Across the event area—including Killegland Street and the Tesco car park—attendees can explore a variety of wellness-focused stalls, enjoy a dedicated children’s neurodiverse carnival, and sample a selection of delicious food offerings. WellFest Ashbourne is built around inclusivity, offering a welcoming space where people of all ages can connect, learn, and reflect on the importance of mental wellbeing.

Organisers encourage everyone to mark the date and spread the word—WellFest Ashbourne is for everyone. Come along, get involved, and be part of a day centred on awareness, support, and togetherness.
