The average price of home heating oil across the country has jumped over a €100 in one week increasing by over 60 per cent since this time last year.
The increase has been caused by the instability surrounding international wars. Many companies now require minimum orders of €500, putting people on small budgets under serious financial pressure.
Oil companies will point to fluctuating prices every day over the last couple of months due to ongoing international issues.
